What we built and why

The top-ranked TDEE and BMR calculators on the internet mostly look and feel like they were built in 2012 — because most of them were. They rank well because they've been around a long time, not because they're particularly good. The results are often presented without context, the formulas aren't cited, and there's no guidance on what to do next.

MyVitaMetrics started with a simple goal: build the calculator site we'd actually want to use. Clean, fast, formula-transparent, and genuinely useful beyond the number itself.

The formulas we use

Our principles

1
Formula transparency
Every calculator shows which formula it uses and links to the source research. You should know what's powering the number you're given.
2
No account, no data
All calculations happen in your browser. Your height, weight, and measurements are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
3
Context with every result
A number without context is just a number. Every result comes with an interpretation of what it means for you specifically, and a clear next step.
4
Free, permanently
The calculators are free and will stay free. The site is supported by advertising and affiliate commissions — neither of which influences the content or calculator results.
